HPS is pleased to announce the release of a complete line of Department of Energy (DOE) compliant Low Voltage and Medium Voltage distribution transformers.

All products are compliant to the latest DOE 10 CFR Part 431 ruling coming into effect on January 1st, 2016.  The ruling requires that all dry-type distribution transformers manufactured or imported into any U.S. State after this date must comply with the new DOE 2016 energy efficiency standards.  According to the DOE, the new efficiency levels are expected to reduce energy losses by an average of 18% in low voltage dry-type transformers and 13% for medium voltage dry-type transformers, over current TP-1 efficiency levels.

All HPS low voltage and medium voltage distribution transformers are available as a standard in a type 3R heavy duty enclosure and are constructed for indoor or outdoor applications.  The new HPS Sentinel and HPS Millennium products feature enhanced BIL ratings for increased reliability and protection against critical equipment failure, standard integral floor and wall mounting brackets up to 45 kVA for faster installation.  HPS distribution transformers are available with low voltage ratings from 15-1000 kVA and medium voltage ratings from 15-1500 kVA making them suitable for a variety of applications such as industrial, commercial and renewable energy.
